January is a time for resolutions and new beginnings. It’s also a good time to reflect on accomplishments from the past twelve months. 2013 was a great year for Otto’s Parking Marking. From seal coating and striping to traffic signs and parking bumpers, we performed parking lot maintenance on a large number of parking lots across the Midwest and Southeast. The staff, both in the office and in the field, worked hard to make the year a success. The hard work resulted in the completion of many great projects, but there were three that really stood out. Below are project highlights from all three!
Striping Project
This was a new construction project at an employee parking facility in downtown Indianapolis. Our striping crew laid out the new pavement markings based on the project blueprint. They took their time and were meticulous with the layout, making sure that all markings were lined up and placed in the correct location on the new asphalt. The quality of the crew’s work and their attention to detail earned them the “Job of the Year” award, given by the company owners at our annual holiday dinner and awards ceremony.
Parking Bumper Project
Our work at this project was performed in multiple parking lots at a hospital in downtown Indianapolis. The blueprints for this new construction project called for parking bumpers to be placed in each parking stall within the parking lots. Our bumper crew delivered and installed approximately 700 parking bumpers on this project.
Sign Project
This sign project was completed at a shopping mall in Boca Raton, FL. The customer wanted the signs in and around their parking lot to reflect their high-profile image. After presenting the customer with several style and color options, a decision was made and our production team went to work. From the comfort of our in-house sign shop, the signs were fabricated and carefully packaged for the trip to Florida. Our sign installation crew spent two weeks installing 400 new signs and posts throughout the mall parking lot.
