Another year has come and gone, can you believe it? Here at Otto’s Parking Marking, we’re all looking forward to the upcoming  holidays and our annual winter shut down.  But before we leave, here’s a peek back at 2014 and some of our favorite projects from the year.

Parking Lot Striping

A new construction project that we completed at a university in Bloomington, IN.

This was a new construction project that was completed at a university in Bloomington, IN.  This newly paved parking lot was formerly a gravel lot and is located near the university’s football stadium.  Using the project blueprint, our striping crew laid out and painted approximately 1,400 spaces in this lot.  Our sign crew relocated some existing signage and installed new STOP signs and 74 removable steel bollards.

The work that we completed at this Indianapolis elementary school was part of an addition/renovation project.  Not only did our striping crew paint the markings in the parking lot, but we also added these colorful game courts to the school playground.  This area of the playground had been color coated and our job was to layout 6 four square courts, 4 hopscotch courts, 1 large compass, 1 Indiana map and 1 USA map.  We also painted a running track and a kickball court on the new asphalt parking lot.

New sign post installed at Freshman Parking area.

This was a sign project that we completed at a university in Indianapolis.  The university wanted to upgrade their sign posts, which were old, rusted and didn’t have a uniform height. Our sign installed 47 new sign posts in different areas around the campus.  The posts were 10′ galvanized u-channel posts and were installed into the landscape. The university provided the signs for us to install on the new posts. The signs varied from Stop signs to directional signs to designated parking areas.

Custom Parking Bumpers

Custom parking bumpers installed in a row of parking spaces at one of the fast food restaurant locations.

We produced these custom parking bumpers for a fast food restaurant chain and installed them at two of their locations, one in Castleton and the other in Lafayette, IN.  We used a hard plastic yellow mold and poured concrete into the molds.  The fast food restaurant chain wanted to test out these new parking bumpers as an alternative to the concrete parking bumpers.

The past year has been one of our busiest, most rewarding years to date. We would like to take the opportunity to thank all of our loyal customers and business partners.  We look forward to working with you next year and for many years to come!
